Catalina Vidal is a professor of Psychology at the
Universidad de Barcelona, and she is graduated of Sociology at the
Universidad de Chile. She has lived in Europe for a long time and currently she
lives in Toulouse, France. In her early sociology career, she focus on society
issues such as inequality and discrimination, but the last time her works have
focused on mental health, especially in the effects that mental processes have
in the feelings and the behaviors of people.
At present she is President os the "Help your MIND organization", this organization is composed of several psychologists, psychiatrists and sociologists, all of them helps people eith different therapies and they teach some classes related with different mental disorders. With this organization Catalina has published many articles in science journals wich show the importance of mental health, one of the was entitled "Mental Health: Disorders in your mind ¿How many do you know yourself?".
On the other hand, Catalina is a talented Violin
player. Together with her husband share the passion for the music. Sometimes
they have shown their talent in front of more people.
